Every step we take toward raising our consciousness is a step toward individual and collective liberation.
Hi, I’m Summer Fakhro
a licensed Clinical Psychologist from Bahrain, currently practicing in Dubai, UAE, with over 10 years of clinical experience in public and private health settings.
My practice is grounded in the principles of radical acceptance and compassion, which guide the work of getting to know all the layers of yourself.
I view this inner work as both a psychological and spiritual journey toward oneness with our true essence. Although the process can sometimes feel unsteady, I strive to act as an anchor and compassionate witness as we peel back the layers of conditioning and reconnect with the Self. To me, this is the journey of inner liberation; the way to keep our individual lights alive, contributing to collective healing and freedom.
If you choose to work with me, my intention is to create a safe, nurturing space for you to explore your inner world and the many reasons for your being. The direction of our work will be guided by what feels most meaningful to you. Along the way, you can expect grounding and somatic practices to be integrated into our talking 1:1 sessions.
My professional background includes 5 years of clinical work in the public health sector in the UK (NHS) and 5 years, and counting, working in private health clinics in the Middle East as well as mental health charity services along the way. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Neuroscience from University College London (UCL), UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College, MA, USA.
In recent years, I’ve expanded my approach to include holistic and somatic practices, integrating ancient and indigenous wisdom. This includes completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training, ongoing meditation work, and Polyvagal Theory certifications.
