Re-membering Mother

A 10‑week spiritual and psychological journey for mothers returning to inner wisdom over external noise.

Overview of the journey

Re-membering Mother is a 10‑week journey for mothers who feel overwhelmed by modern parenting advice and disconnected from their inner knowing. Rather than offering strategies or tips, this program gently guides women back to their spiritual, psychological, and ancestral wisdom, so they can parent from truth instead of fear, and from presence instead of perfection.

The program weaves together spirituality, depth psychology, and reflective inquiry to help mothers quiet the noise, heal inner wounds, and imagine a freer way of living and mothering (for themselves and the next generation).

Given my life experience and cultural background, the program is primarily oriented towards women connected to the Arab world or Middle East (SWANA), however this is not an exclusionary criteria, and mothers of all nationalities and cultural backgrounds are welcome to take part in the journey.

The program will commence on Sunday March 22nd (aligning with the occasion of Arab mother’s day, nowruz, and spring equinox), and sessions will happen weekly on Sundays online. In the middle of the program, there will be an optional 1-day in-person retreat in Dubai, UAE.

«الجَنَّةُ تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِ الأُمَّهَاتِ»

(“Paradise is beneath the feet of mothers.”)

  • You feel overwhelmed or exhausted by parenting advice

  • You sense pressure and responsibility to perfect your parenting

  • You sense that something deeper is missing in their parenting and mainstream parenting spaces

  • You have internalized self-crticism into your parenting role and relationships

  • You are seeking spirituality that is embodied, not performative

  • You are experiencing the modern day crisis of loneliness in motherhood, disconnected from a village of true support

  • You are curious about psychology but do not want judgement or another framework to live up to

  • You are willing to feel, reflect, and turn inwards.

  • You feel drawn to God, surrender, and presence, whether through faith, spirituality, or inner experience

  • You are connected to Middle Eastern (SWANA), or ancestral worldviews (this is optional, however the program may feel most aligned for those who are).

This program is for you if…

This program is not for you if...

  • You are looking for parenting techniques, scripts, or behavioural strategies

  • You want quick fixes or guaranteed outcomes

  • You prefer rigid rules over inner discernment

  • You are not ready to question inherited narratives about motherhood

  • You are seeking expert authority rather than your own

  • Your goal is to fix yourself as a mother or your child

What we’re sitting with & moving towards:

The pursuit of perfect motherhood is not neutral; it’s a byproduct of captialistic & colonial ways of being. It is a construct that: - Privileges control over trust - Productivity over presence - Expertise over inner knowing. And this disconnection keeps mothers in cycles of anxiety, self‑doubt, and dissatisfaction, while leaving the deeper, original wounds unaddressed.

Implicitly, so many of the messages we are constantly recieving is reinforcing this idea of not being enough, needing to self-improve, and to further self-sacrifice for our children and families.

Added to this, is the modern crisis of hyper-individualism and being split off from a village, has led to unrealistic pressure on parents to hold everything together for their kids.

This program is different because it is not about fixing mothers.

We are being invited to meet this moment with the capacity that we have, and with the orientation of unconditional self-acceptance.

What we are working towards:

  • Finding a grounded relationship with inner and spiritual wisdom

  • Softening self‑criticism and soothing inner relational wounds that shape parenting

  • Reconnecting to your true Self or essence

  • Understanding key psychological frameworks for your parenting without turning them into rules

  • Clearing the noise and clarifying our values for parenting and beyond

  • Practicing dreaming a freer life for ourselves and our children

  • Practicing anchoring to help discern what guidance aligns for you and what doesn’t

  • Connecting genuinely and deeply with other mothers who are moving through similar struggles and life questions

The 10-week journey: pillars and modules

The 3 pillars listed below are the pathway through which we will enable accessing a life of more meaning and less noise. Each pillar will be addressed over one module.

In each module we will use multiple learning methods: reflective inquiry, embodied practice, and building knowledge.

  • In this module we use practices to support us actively lean into and surrender to God, the Divine, or a higher intelligence—through practice rather than performance. The focus is not belief, but practicing a new relationship to something greater.

This module is a neccessary prerequisite to working with the ‘complex’ of the psyche in order to remain anchored, clear, and not overwhelmed by the stories and strategies that arise.

The sessions in the module will be as follows:

Session 1 – 22/3/2026 - Waking up to the self that cannot be damaged

Session 2 – 29/3/2026 – Our roles vs our truth

    Session 3 – 5/4/2026 – Cultivating Self-energy through presence and rituals

  • As we work through layers of our wounds, fears, and split off parts, we deepen a relationship with our parts that is compassionate and unconditionally caring.

Here we’ll use knowledge and exercises to gain awareness and peel back the layers of our conditioning.

Teachings will be informed by key models such as: - Nervous system regulation - Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Depth Psychology.

Sessions in this module will be as follows:

Session 4 – 12/4/2026 – Mom guilt, perfection, and comparison; the killers of joy

Session 5 – 19/4/2026 - Tending to my inner child

    Session 6 – 26/4/2026Understanding the Ego

Session 7 – 10/5/2026 – Shadow work #1 - Fear of the “bad mother” & the collective unconscious

  • When our energy becomes less consumed by anxiety and self-doubt, we are given the opportunity to reorient towards our values and imagine a world that we want to live in, and how we want to give to the collective.

This module supports mothers in imagining new possibilities beyond inherited scripts, for themselves and for generations to come.

The sessions in this module will be as follows:

    Session 8 – 17/5/2026 - True repair and unburdening

Session 9 – 24/5/2026 - Finding your aliveness in mothering

    Session 10 –31/5/2026 - Orienting to the collective, integration & co-creation

  • Optional Add-On
